There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.” – JANE AUSTEN

We already established that the family room is the most used room of the house after the kitchen. It is a place to relax and unwind, a place to enjoy time with family and friends (when we can do so again safely).

Originally this family room was not a place that Beth and Jeff wanted to be in – it was simply a large room that hadn’t found its true purpose yet.

After our transformation this is now the place the homeowners spend all their time. This was especially nice at the start of the pandemic, when the kids were all home and the family got to enjoy the redesigned space together for a while.

Our main goal was to utilize all of the space and make the room super comfortable and cozy. First we selected a wood floor, then added a beautiful area rug to warm up the room. An impressive new fireplace mantle replaced the stone to emphasize the classic look of
this room.

The chair and ottoman by the fireplace will give Beth a place to read by the fire when the colder weather arrives again. The swivel chairs provide a space for conversation or TV watching. An extra large sectional gave this family the room to stretch out and still be together.
As this room evolved, the windows were treated to a fabric frame that took away the echo and added interest to the expanse of windows.

The TV nook was drywalled over and the console not only anchors the TV, it creates room to store a few loose ends and shelves to display mementos.

This room now found its purpose and serves as a place for all to enjoy!

Times like these make you appreciate home more than ever. We can help make your home as comfortable as possible. Give us a call at 215.619.2999.

The quality and fabric of an area rug are important to ensure that it will last a long time.
