About DBI

Diane Bishop Interiors (DBI), founded in 2003, is a full-service residential interior design firm known for creating beautiful, functional homes tailored to each client’s lifestyle and personal style. Today, DBI is led by owner and interior designer Mila Lee, who continues the firm’s established tradition while bringing her own personalized approach to each project. Over the years, DBI’s work has been recognized by Philadelphia Magazine and featured in homes throughout the Philadelphia area.

Our Team

Mila Lee – Owner & Principal Designer

Mila Lee, owner and principal designer of Diane Bishop Interiors, brings more than 15 years of interior design experience to each project. After beginning her career in the New York City fashion industry and earning her degree in Interior Design, Mila built her career around creating beautiful, functional homes that reflect the people who live in them. Known for her collaborative and personalized approach, she guides clients through space planning, furnishings, renovations and the many details that bring a home together. Mila believes the best interiors balance style, comfort and function while remaining true to each client’s individual taste and lifestyle.

Claudette McCarron –
Designer and Marketing Manager

Claudette is an Interior Designer and Marketing Manager at DBI. Combining her design sensibility with a strong foundation in marketing, she partners with clients on residential projects while also helping DBI strengthen its brand presence. She brings a distinctive client-focused approach informed by years of building trusted relationships in design and marketing. Thoughtful and efficient about every aspect. Purposeful in everything she proposes. Claudette’s own perspective is a global one. As a dual citizen of the United States and United Kingdom who has lived on three continents and called London home for 10 years, her design aesthetic is inspired by art and architecture from abroad.

The Design Process

The process begins with an in-home consultation, allowing us to understand your home, lifestyle, design needs and vision. During this meeting, we discuss the scope of your project, your priorities and how DBI can guide you through the design process.

Following the consultation, DBI prepares a design proposal outlining the scope of work and professional design services for the project. Once the proposal and retainer are approved, the design process begins.

DBI presents thoughtfully selected floor plans, furnishings, finishes, colors and other design elements tailored to the project. Together, we review the selections, refine the design and finalize the pieces and details to be ordered.

Once furnishings and other selected items are ready, DBI coordinates the final installation and is on-site to oversee placement, styling and finishing touches that bring the design together.
