The Lower Level of this house held a whole lot of potential
New construction provides the perfect opportunity to create a special area for spending time together – playing games or watching movies with the kids, having drinks with friends by the bar or playing a round of pool by taking opportunity of all the space the lower level of the house has to offer. Yet this is hardly the basement of the past and precisely why it is now referred to as The Lower Level.
Various shades of gray compliment each other throughout the room. Gray paint provides the perfect backdrop for the artwork that displays their hockey interests and ties together the other gray accents throughout the level.
Dark gray cabinets provide storage for the bar. Gray stacked stone enhances the columns.
Family friendly performance fabrics in dark gray protects the sectional. The gray fabric on the recliner was covered in a Sunbrella fabric as well. Even the pool table got a unique style upgrade with gray wood. The floor is covered in engineered wood that was stained on site to warm everything up.
We had such fun with this lovely family and it was a pleasure to create a warm and inviting Lower Level. And while this room might look as if it will be mainly a place for the “men” in the family, with a mom that is a true hockey lover, this is a room that can be enjoyed by all.
