Let your most Intimate Space be a Stylish Oasis

Before PictureEven though the majority of your visitors will never set foot in your master retreat, this space of your own is where you get to leave the world behind and unwind after a long day, so why not have it be as stylish as the rest of the house.

When we started on Theresa and Adam’s home, every room was still very much bare bones and it was our job to coax out the true character and potential hiding in there.

But regardless if you are starting with white walls or no walls, selecting a calming color palate and different textures will get you off to a great start.

In Theresa and Adam’s case we started with an accent wall in a soothing dark blue that draws the eye in, as it emphasizes the coffered ceiling – plus, a pop of color on the ceiling is fun and unexpected.
The couple fell in love with the area rug and we chose an elegant upholstered headboard, adding laid-back and modern elegance. We then completed the look by mixing in rich and subtle patterns for the bed linens and to frame the windows.

Comfortable furniture created a space to sit and relax at the day’s end, with automatic Roman shades providing darkness or light at the press of a button.

This lovely couple deserved a space that would keep them warm and cozy on a winter day – and cool and calm in the summer. Best of all – now it can be called home.
