Diane Bishop - Newsletter December 2019 - Get Comfy Cozy

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire.
It is the time for home.” – Edith Sitwell

With winter nipping at our nose it is time to allow yourself to slow down, reflect on the previous year, and make plans for the new year ahead.

It’s also a time to embrace the colder weather and create a cozy hideaway at home. Especially since studies have shown that you will enjoy the colder season more and are less likely to get the winter blues if you embrace winter for what it is.

A time for comfort and joy at home.

HERE ARE OUR TOP FIVE TIPS FOR A COMFY HOME THIS WINTER:

1 – COZY UP
Create a cozy spot for reading during these dark nights. You might be at home, but your mind can wander.

2 – KEEP AWAY THE CHILL
Keep pillows and a warm blanket handy.

3 – LIGHT A FIRE
A fire in the fireplace is the best way to make your home snug and comfortable.

4 – BRIGHTEN THOSE LONG WINTER NIGHTS
Create layers of light. Dim the overhead lights and turn on that reading light to bring the light to your level.

5 – GATHER WITH FRIENDS
Surround yourself with the people you love and play games, talk or watch movies together.
