Philadelphia Interior Design The Sitting Room Newsletter

A relaxing & intimate retreat to enjoy a moment of peace & quiet.

Sometimes we just need a place to get away. A place to read or to watch another program. A sitting room off of the master bedroom is such a place. It is not meant to be shared with your guests – a space just for you and maybe your closest family.

Even though the layout worked, it was time to give this room a little refresh. We started with a soothing color palette. Light shades of blue for the chair, ottoman and accent pillows, grays and slate blue completed the look on the bed and the walls. The sheer drapery added a soft touch.

A swivel chair in a blue upholstered (material) replaced the leather chair for a lighter feel. Then we added a more comfortable sofa and a new ottoman to rest weary feet at the end of a long day.

Our clients wanted to keep their current furniture in the bedroom area with the bed frame, dresser and night stands. Our job was to unite these two areas with a calmer look.
Through a few color updates and with the help of a few new pieces of furniture we were able to make this an even more relaxing place to unwind.

Your bedroom should be a retreat. We can help to make you more comfortable in your home – call 215.619.2999 to make it happen.

Use softer colors to update a master bedroom and sitting room. It will become a place to soothe & relax.

In case you have missed us in the last few months…

The last year has been a challenging one for all of us. The disruption in supply chains has not spared the interior design industry. We had to be patient and are grateful for our clients who were understanding that delays were out of our hands. Projects have taken much longer to complete than anticipated, hence less to show off. Thanks for being here and reading.
