Maximizing our living spaces & making them enjoyable for family & friends.
While this room was used on a daily basis by our clients—it had so much more potential. Very little seating and vast places with no seating made this room unavailable for entertaining. The lovely Fran & Dave deserved so much more.
We started by creating zones and moved the TV from the corner by the slider to the other half of this living room. Not only did this make for a much more comfortable viewing experience, but the new console anchors the TV and adds storage as well.
The second zone focused on the fireplace area. We put four swivel chairs by the fireplace, providing opportunity for a comfortable conversation while enjoying the fire. Thanks to the swivel nature of the chairs and the placement in the room, they can be used as additional seats for watching TV.
The bookshelves became brighter and more modern with a coat of white paint. Additionally we simplified what would be featured. The bookshelves now display treasured photos and artifacts.
The walls also benefitted from a fresh coat of warm gray paint. Two area rugs further define the zones , while subtle patterned sheer panels complete the look by the slider windows.
This room can now be enjoyed by the wonderful couple and shared with their children and friends.
