During this unprecedented time, we are spending more time at home. It is more important than ever that this is a calm and comfortable place. I thought that you would enjoy a home that became a happier place.

Before

The room already had great bones and showed plenty of potential, so we started with a new layout – with comfort being the driving force.

We added two chairs and ottomans. Who doesn’t like to rest their feet at the end of a long day? Plus, those ottomans can also be extra seating when we are able to entertain again.

Neutral window treatments framed the lower windows. Not only did they add interest, they helped to soften the echo that otherwise occurs in a two story space.

The soft, patterned carpet also absorbs sound. Patterned pillows bring texture and visual interest to the room.
Different light sources, including recessed lighting and table lamps, helped to insure that the room was bright and inviting at any time of the day.

A unique two tiered cocktail table helped to bring character to the room. A large piece of artwork emphasized the tall room. This became one of our clients favorite pieces in the room.

With a calming color palate, comfortable furnishings and multiple textures, we were able to play off of the rooms strength and breathe new life into this space. It now has a personality that fits the people who live here.

A tall painting over the fireplace in a two story room not only adds interest, it also encourages you to enjoy both stories of your home.
