With the colder weather coming—the fireplace becomes more important in our lives. Yet it should be a focal point all year long. It creates a sense of home, provides warmth and invites people in to the room. Sometimes it just needs a little help.
Over the past years our technology has changed so much and the design community has worked hard to keep up. Today’s sleek flat screen TVs just don’t fit in the wall units of yesterday. They are larger and need to be treated as an important design element. To accomplish that goal, I have incorporated several ideas.
As life evolves, our homes sometimes change. While the big house is great for an active family, when the nest is empty, it is nice to have less room and yard to care for.
The family room is the room that gets the most use in many homes, but with two active kids, this room was getting tired. The home owners didn’t even want to go in there, so I made it my goal to make this room inviting for everyone in the family.
The homeowners enjoyed their home for many years. It was comfortable, yet the sofa was wearing out and the colors just weren’t right anymore. This room is so important. Not only is it a place to relax every evening, it is the room where family and friends gather.
